Charity Disc Golf Tournaments

We started out on a freezing cold February day with about half a dozen players. We’ve expanded quite a bit since then and play weekly in Chattanooga. We hope to expand to other cities.

In March of 2025, we used funds from the tournament to send direct cash donations to river guides affected by the flooding from Hurricane Helene. In April of 2025, we’ve focused on helping whitewater paddlers battling cancer.

We’re open to suggestions about who we might be able to help in May!

Here is the tournament information:

A weekly series of doubles tournaments to benefit Wilderness Response Network, whose mission is to help individuals and organizations in the outdoor community to better communicate, collaborate, and pursue their stated goals.

WRN manages the United States' only registry of wilderness first responders, provides aid to individuals affected by natural disasters, helps outdoor conservation groups and recreational clubs better collaborate, and runs a community marketplace that empowers artists in the outdoors. WRN is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

This is a doubles tournament series with A and B divisions and an ace pool. Players should bring their own teammate.

Register in person and pay in cash or by card.

The following parameters apply for events drawing 1-6 teams:

  • There will be only one division of players.

  • There will be a $20 entrance fee per doubles team, per event.

  • WRN receives 50% of the total support. The winning team receives the remaining 50%.

  • Players may elect to join a cash ace pot. WRN will retain 10% of the pot.

The following parameters apply to events drawing 7-9 teams:

  • There will be only one division of players.

  • There will be a $20 entrance fee per doubles team, per event.

  • The second place team wins $20.

  • WRN receives 50% of the total support. The first place winners receive the remainder, minus the second place prize.

  • Players may elect to join a cash ace pot. WRN will retain 10% of the pot.

  • There will be only one division of players.

  • There will be a $20 entrance fee per doubles team, per event.

  • The 3rd place team wins $10.

  • The 2nd place team wins $20.

  • WRN retains 50% of the total support. The winner team receives the remainder, minus the second and third place prizes.

  • Players may elect to join a cash ace pot. WRN will retain 10% of the pot.

  • There will be an A and a B division of players.

  • There will be a $20 entrance fee per doubles team, per event.

  • In each division, the 3rd place team wins $20.

  • In each division, the 2nd place team wins $40.

  • WRN retains 50% of the total support. The winners of each division will receive the remainder, minus the second and third place prizes.

  • Players may elect to join a cash ace pot. WRN will retain 10% of the pot.
